Job Summary:
The Group Learning & Development Manager for The Executive Centre’s Hospitality & Operations division will drive worldclass member experiences by designing and leading premium training strategies. It will cultivate exceptional talent, elevate TEC’s service standards and align talent development with strategic business goals to sustain the brand’s competitive edge. By creating programmes that focus on emotional intelligence, anticipation of members’ needs and bespoke highend service delivery, this role will help ensure TEC is recognised as a global leader in premium serviced offices, coworking spaces and customised corporate workspace solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Identify learning and development needs across different roles within Hospitality & Operations at The Executive Centre, and design targeted solutions that maximise training ROI
- Manage the annual Hospitality & Operations L&D budget, including planning and monitoring monthly training expenses
- Design and deliver in-person and virtual training programmes for key roles (e.g. Office Assistants, Engagement Associates, Engagement Managers, Operations Managers, Heads of Hospitality & Operations and relevant internal stakeholders)
- Build and maintain TEC’s virtual learning structure, including LMS setup, content management, and reporting
- Travel regularly to key markets to support programme delivery and capability building
- Lead SOP-related learning governance by aligning training content with current SOPs, supporting SOP updates, and partnering on system rollouts
- Partner with Department and Regional Operations Heads to identify and develop departmental trainers across Front of House and Back of House
- Own the trainthetrainer framework as the main scaling model for learning across centres
- Promote TEC’s culture, core values and service standards through ongoing training campaigns and initiatives
- Design and manage recognition programmes that link performance, service quality and learning outcomes
- Build and sustain partnerships with educational institutions and community organisations to support branding and learning opportunities
- Lead team engagement and development initiatives as directed by the Head of Hospitality & Operations
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree holder or above in Management or hospitality-related discipline
- Strong experience in train-the-trainer models; training accreditation or certification is preferred
- At least 6 to 8 years of solid experience in learning and development in the high-end hospitality industry; Similar capacity in a hotel environment is advantageous
- Self-motivated, proactive, well-organized, detail-minded with strong leadership and decision-making skills as well as communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong track record of hands-on training design, facilitation and evaluation within the high-end service industry, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
- Able to easily establish rapports with various stakeholders internally and externally
- Highly driven and passionate in people development and training to drive business results
- Excellent presentation, business coaching and strong project management skills coupled with the ability to work independently
- Hands-on experience building virtual learning structures and using LMS platforms
- The ability to travel internationally including but not limited to mainland China and India
- Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint, English and at least one other major language for word processing
- Excellent spoken and written English, plus at least one additional language relevant to TEC’s key markets
